On any candidate profile, open Actions → CVFormatter → Export resume to CVFormatter. The original CV transfers directly and stays unchanged in JobAdder.

CVFormatter applies your default agency template, standardising layout, headings, dates and sections. Review and edit any field, then download as Word or PDF if you need to.

Push it back
Click ATS Export to attach the formatted CV to the existing candidate, or create a new candidate. It appears under Candidate → Resume → Formatted.

Why connect CVFormatter to JobAdder?
Without an integration, formatting a CV for a JobAdder candidate means downloading the original, uploading it to a formatting tool, downloading the result and attaching it back to the candidate record. It is only a few minutes per CV, but across a team and a busy week it adds up to hours of clicking.
The CVFormatter JobAdder integration removes those steps. Recruiters send a CV to CVFormatter straight from the candidate profile, and push the formatted, branded CV back to the same record when it is ready. The original CV is never overwritten, and nothing is sent back to JobAdder unless a recruiter chooses to.
Setting up the integration
You need an active CVFormatter account, a JobAdder account with permission to connect integrations, and at least one CVFormatter template (we convert your first template free). Then:
- 1. Log in to JobAdder in the same browser you use for CVFormatter.
- 2. In CVFormatter, go to Resumes → Settings → ATS Integration and select “Connect with JobAdder”.
- 3. Authorise access when you are redirected to JobAdder, then return to CVFormatter.
- 4. Confirm the success message. The connection stays active until you disconnect it or access is revoked.
A standard JobAdder CV workflow for your team
Most agencies settle on the same five-step routine: the candidate's CV is added to JobAdder, sent to CVFormatter, formatted with your default agency template, sent back to JobAdder as a formatted file, and then submitted to the client. Because the formatted CV lives on the candidate record, colleagues can reuse it for future submissions without formatting it again.
